Pupil Wellbeing
At William Ransom, we are deeply passionate about child wellbeing. Our Wellbeing Team is run by Nicole Airey and Julie Hall, and we work closely alongside our school SENDCO to ensure every pupil receives the support they need. We offer a range of targeted group and individual interventions designed to help children build resilience, manage their emotions, and thrive emotionally.
We also work in partnership with the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and Letchworth Family Support Service and can make direct referrals when additional support is required. Together with the MHST, we offer valuable parent workshops focusing on key areas such as anxiety, behaviour, and emotional regulation. To keep our school community connected, we send out half-termly newsletters packed with the latest resources on wellbeing, guidance on SEND (including autism and ADHD), strategies for emotional regulation, and details on upcoming workshops and parent courses.
If you have any concerns about your child's wellbeing, please do not hesitate to contact the school and we will always do our best to help. You can also browse and download our previous SEMH letters below, which contain a wealth of helpful resources and practical advice. Please also find below a poster all about emotionally based school non attendance (EBSNA) which you may find helpful if your child is finding it difficult to attend school.
