Y2 Victorian Visit

What a wonderful day we had on our recent trip to the British Schools Museum!
We walked there in glorious sunshine and stepped back in time with a Victorian lesson, complete with a very strict teacher. One child even experienced the cane, while another had to wear the dreaded dunce cap!
We explored the old Headmaster’s house, discovering the Victorian kitchen, living room and bedrooms, as well as the rather unpleasant outside toilet! After lunch, we had a Victorian drill lesson in the playground before walking back to school. A fantastic day of learning, history and plenty of memorable moments!
