  • The Pine Report: A Look Back at Spring Term

    Published 04/04/25

Please enter an introduction for you

What a fantastic Spring Term it has been here in Pine Class! 🌿✨ The children have truly excelled and embraced various projects, showcasing their remarkable creativity and enthusiasm in every activity!

In our Design and Technology classes, students donned their chef hats and embarked on a delightful culinary adventure, whipping up a range of delicious smoothies! 🥤 From refreshing berry blends to fruit concoctions, our budding chefs explored flavours, health benefits, and the joys of creating something wholesome. The excitement in the classroom was palpable as they experimented with different ingredients, teaching each other tasty tips along the way! 🌈

As we celebrated World Book Day, our school transformed into a wonderland of literary characters! 📚 The students dressed up as everything from superheroes to mythical creatures, proudly parading their costumes in a vibrant display of creativity. Each outfit came with a story, and we had a delightful time sharing our favourite books and characters, sparking conversations that lit up the school. Who was your favourite literary character of the day? 🤔

The children have become architects in Art channelled their creativity into constructing beautiful houses, using various materials to build imaginative designs. 🏠 Each house reflected the unique personality and artistic flair of its creator, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary styles. The project not only nourished their artistic skills but also instilled a sense of pride as they displayed their hard work on exhibition day! 🎨

Meanwhile, in Religious Education, our students explored fascinating traditions from different cultures, particularly focusing on the Easter story we celebrated a lovely custom of creating hanging eggs as they do in Germany. 🐣 They learnt about the symbolism behind the eggs and crafted their own unique designs, which were on display outside.

As we look back over this term, we can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride in our work. Each project brought not just skills and knowledge, but also camaraderie and friendships blossomed through teamwork and shared creativity.

Here’s to more adventures, learning experiences, and unforgettable moments in the upcoming terms! Stay tuned for more updates and exciting news about what’s happening in Pine class.
