As the leaves begin to change colour and the crisp autumn air settles in, Hazel has already impressed all the adults by settling brilliantly into their new class.

In English, they kicked off the term with the delightful story, "I Want My Hat Back! ” by Jon Klassen. The children thoroughly enjoyed the narrative, and took their creativity a step further by engaging in some lively role-play. Following our discussions, the pupils were eager to create their own sequels, leading to the imaginative title "I Want My Friend Back." We also found a dragon in our classroom cupboard, when reading "Dragon Post." We wrote some instructions on how to douse it with water if it tries to breathe fire! We have even been retelling stories through the power of rap!
